Annemarie Bairstow
Director of the Skyland Workforce Center Anne-Marie Bairstow is the Director of the Skyland Workforce Center, a project of Building Bridges Across the River, where she manages a partnership of nonprofit organizations that provide employment services for local residents. Prior to joining the BBAR team, Anne-Marie was the VP of Marketing and Communications at WC Smith and ran the Summer Youth Employment Program at that location which provided summer jobs and workshops to 50-60 youth annually. Briefly before her transition to BBAR, she helped found the Skyland Workforce Center and has worked continuously to improve and grow the center ever since. Anne-Marie has a Master’s in Urban Planning from the University of Virginia and a BA from Swarthmore College in addition to being a graduate of the Leadership Greater Washington program. |
Rahsaan Bernard
President of Building Bridges Across the River Rahsaan Bernard is the President of Building Bridges Across the River, the Ward 8 nonprofit organization responsible for three national recognized projects in D.C.: the Townhall Health Education Arts Recreation Campus (THEARC), the Skyland Workforce Center, and the 11th Street Bridge Park. Mr. Bernard currently serves as a trustee member of the Federal City Council, is a member of Leadership Greater Washington, and holds current board roles at Feeding America, the Capital Area Food Bank, and the Catalogue of Philanthropy. He currently lives in Southeast Washington, D.C. with his wife, DeLise, son, Rahsaan Jr. (13), and daughters Rielle (10) and RaeLynn (8). |
Ilana Bowen
Senior Workforce Development Specialist at Pepco Holdings International Ilana Bowen is the Senior Workforce Development Specialist for PHI, where she manages the day-to-day operations, overall strategy and community partnerships for Pepco’s Workforce Development programs within the District of Columbia, Prince George’s County and Montgomery County. Some of those programs include the: DC Infrastructure Academy: Pepco Utility Training program and the DC Public Schools’ Career Bridge Program. |
Kelly Ann DeCurtis
Director of Talent Management at Pepco Holdings International Kelly DeCurtis is the Director of Talent Management for PHI, where she and her team are responsible for the talent management, leadership development, employee and team engagement, DEI engagement, workforce development and cultural strategies for PHI. While Kelly started her career with Vanguard Mutual Fund Company in Recruiting, she has progressed through various roles both at Vanguard and Exelon Corp primarily in HR while being an active, founding board member of the Okehocking Nature Center in Newton Square, PA. She joined the PHI team in February 2018 and now, if she’s not working there or on the preservation and conservation efforts in her community, Kelly can be found with her two fabulous children and one great dog in the outdoors. |
Henry Fonvielle
President of Rappaport Henry Fonvielle is the President of Rappaport where he oversees the leasing strategy for third-party landlord and tenant representation brokerage services and all shopping centers within the company’s extensive portfolio. Dedicated to reinvigorating, designing and constructing top-tier mixed-use developments and shopping centers within the D.C. market, Henry utilizes over 30 years of experience in the retail industry to create well-organized and exceptional projects from conception to completion. His ability to form and cultivate close-knit partnerships within his team and among his clients has enhanced Rappaport’s reputation and under his leadership, the company’s leasing and brokerage portfolio soared from 35 to over 160 properties. Henry is Co-Founder of the Skyland Workforce Center Leadership Council, Emeritus member of the Foundation Board of Children’s National, Board member for Bisnow Diversity, Board member for Tall Ship Providence Foundation, and Board member for Atlas Performing Arts Center. |
Tiffany A. Irving
Head of Talent Attraction & Acquisition at Lidl US Tiffany A. Irving is the Head of Talent Attraction & Acquisition at Lidl US with over a decade of experience in HR and Talent Acquisition. She is well known for her ability to partner closely with business leaders to identify strengths and paint points in the recruitment process to optimize the candidate experience. Tiffany is also successful in creating and executing effective recruitment strategies along with helping candidates find their career path and own their professional development. |
Kelly Lynch
Executive Director of the Diane & Norman Bernstein Foundation Kelly Lynch is the Executive Director of the Diane & Norman Bernstein Foundation and Senior Advisor to Bernstein Management Corporation. Kelly is a CPA and worked in public accounting prior to leading the accounting and finance departments at Bernstein Management. For the past 20 years she has held various executive positions at the company and its affiliates, is an active participant in her community and a current board member of the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers and Bread, Inc. Along with her current community involvements, she is also a former board member of the Academy of Hope, Commercial Real Estate Women and the Murch Home & School Association. Outside of her community work, Kelly lives in the District with her husband, son and daughter and is a longtime practitioner of Ashtange yoga, which she practices daily. |
Don Montuori
VP of Public Relations & Corporate Initiatives at WC Smith Don Montuori is the Vice President of Public Relations and Corporate Initiatives at WC Smith where he is responsible for internal and external communications as well as managing the firm’s extensive activities with community and nonprofit organizations. Don has a wide range of executive communications and publishing experience. He and his family are long-time residents of DC’s Capitol Hill neighborhood and he has held leadership roles in school, youth and community organizations, including being a founding member and president of the Capitol Hill Little League. |
F. Kevin Reynolds
Regional President & Director of Sales for United Bank Kevin Reynolds is the Executive Vice President, Regional President and Director of Sales for United Bank where he oversees over $27 billion in assets and 223 full-service banking offices in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Washington, D.C. Kevin has held several executive and managerial positions throughout his career and was also a founding officer for Cardinal Bank before joining United Bank in 2017. Now, he provides strategic and executive oversight over the sales and service directives for all lines of business while helping organizations throughout the area with strategic planning, fundraising, and building awareness for their various causes. He currently serves as the chairman of The 123 Club, on the board of Marymount University, co-chairman of the United Bank Charity Classic and is the current president of the Westwood Country Club. A graduate of The College of William and Mary, Reynolds earned an MBA in Finance/Business from The George Washington University and now lives in Oakton, Virginia with his wife, Stacey, their two children, and two golden retrievers. |
Earl Williams
Chair of the Skyland Town Center Task Force Earl Williams is a native Washingtonian. He graduated from Calvin Coolidge High School and after attending Fayetteville State University, Earl spent 26 years at Blue Cross Blue Shield and 10 years at Kaiser Permanente in Sales and Marketing. Earl has lived in the Hillcrest neighborhood in Southeast DC for the last 24 years. He is married, the father of 4, and an active member of the Hillcrest Community Civic Association. His community activism has led him to serve the entire city as the President of the Federation of Citizens Associations of the District of Columbia, an office he has maintained for the last 8 years until this past January. In addition to his other roles in the community, Earl also serves on the Board of Training Grounds, the Advisory Board of the Skyland Workforce Center, the Fletcher Johnson Taskforce, the Pennsylvania Avenue East Community Coalition, The Pennsylvania Avenue East Main Street Board and on the Board of Project Create. |
