What We Do
Our caseworkers meet one-on-one with our participants to provide the supports and resources needed to address and resolve employment barriers.
Our entrepreneurship program supports the efforts of local small business owners, providing them with business training, financial coaching and a support network.
Employability Skills Development
We focus on helping our participants gain and improve the skills they need to get hired or find a better job. Our workshops provide a space for job seekers to practice their interview skills, refine their resumes and act on their career goals.
We refer qualified candidates to employment opportunities through our employment referral process. The Center partners with local employers seeking to hire our participants in living wage jobs.
We prepare our adult students for work in the 21st century. Basic and intermediate computer courses encourage participants to gain confidence and competence using computers,
the internet and Microsoft Office.
Adult Basic Education
GED tutoring helps people studying to obtain their GED, and supplemental math workshops help job seekers improve their knowledge of algebra, fractions, and percentages to get them ready for apprenticeship opportunities.
