Five on-site partners collaborate at the Center: Byte Back, Calvary Women’s Services, Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington, Southeast Ministry, and Thrive DC. Together, they provide a range of services and opportunities to job-seekers and others working toward self-sufficiency through employment. The Center also assists area businesses with meeting their hiring needs.
The full-time Program Director oversees and coordinates the Center’s workforce development programs, projects, and activities, to include: collaborating with Skyland and community partner staff on program development, implementation, and recruitment; providing support and logistics for programs, workshops, and training events; and working alongside the Director, to provide strategic input on program development initiatives, program design, staffing, project management, and budgeting.
Most responsibilities will fall under the categories listed below. However, candidates should expect that duties may shift and additional responsibilities may be assigned as the Center evolves.
